Defensive Publications
Defensive Publications are used to disclose inventions
without spending the time and money to apply for a patent. It can be used if an invention
might not be defendable or might not be worth the money to apply for a patent. It allows
inventors to put the idea in the public domain, preventing others from patenting the idea
which would lock the inventor out of using the invention.
